Thermal Performance & the Evolution of RF Transistors
Over the past year or two, GaN has become a very interesting choice as a semiconductor material for RF transistors. It has the ability to perform at high frequency, high power, wide bandwidth and high temperature. Many RF amplifier designers are feeling liberated now that the RF transistor can run at a higher temperature.
