| The SC1887 RF PA Linearizer (RFPAL) is a family of fully-adaptive, RFin/RFout pre-distortion solutions that precisely compensate for RF Power amplifier (PA) non-linearities including AM/AM and AM/PM distortion, spectral regrowth, memory effects and other system level impairments. The SC1887 uses a novel linearization architecture that shifts complex signal processing from the digital domain into the more computationally efficient analog RF domain. The resulting system-on-chip (SoC) solution allows customers to drive down the cost, complexity, footprint, and overall system power consumption of existing designs while simultaneously achieving significantly higher PA efficiency and system reliability. Furthermore, the SC1887 operates directly at the carrier frequency and offers standalone operation that requires neither complex software development nor access to baseband signals. As a result, engineers are able to quickly bring to market linearized PA solutions in any configuration required, while minimizing development and manufacturing costs. This is sold in cut tape. |
