| The SC1894 is Scintera’s 3rd generation of RF PA linearizers (RFPAL) providing improved correction and functionality over the previous generation. The SC1894 is a fully-adaptive, RFin / RFout predistortion linearization solution optimized for Class A/AB and Doherty RF power amplifiers (PA). It supports 2G to 4G standards (FDD and TDD) as well as an expanded range of signal bandwidths from 60 MHz down to 25 kHz. The SC1894 uses the PA output and input signals to adaptively generate an optimized correction function to minimize the PA’s self-generated distortion. Using RF-domain analog signal processing enables the SC1894 to operate over wide bandwidths at very low power consumption. The SC1894 provides four general purpose analog inputs and four general purpose analog/digital outputs that, for example, may be configured for PA monitoring, gate bias control and temperature monitoring. The SC1894 may also be configured to provide accurate RF power measurement of RFIN and RFFB. These features may be accessed through the serial peripheral interface (SPI) bus. |
