 Ultracapacitor
Maxwell ultracapacitors, available from Richardson RFPD's worldwide inventory locations, provide energy storage and peak power solutions in applications where batteries alone cannot do the complete job.Unlike batteries, these high-tech devices are capable of charging and discharging at identical rates. Moreover, they are so reliable that they are typically specified for up to 1,000,000 charge/discharge cycles even in the most extreme environments, with a lifespan of up to 15 years. This means that ultracapacitors have extremely low maintenance costs. These attributes together make ultracapacitors the ideal choice for many of today’s energy storage, power back-up and pulse-power applications. They can capture and store braking energy in trains, trams, and hybrid automobiles. They can deliver peak power for drive systems and actuators in a variety of vehicles and assure round-the-clock power availability for wind turbine pitch systems. Ultracapacitors back-up and augment primary energy sources for wireless network equipment and smooth energy throughput from renewable energy storage systems (as in solar energy applications). They can efficiently supply energy during peak power demand conditions for power generators, reducing strain on the primary power source.

| | Filter By Parametric Attributes | Help
The parametric search filter allows the user to quickly find the parts they need by filtering the results in real-time.
To filter search results:
For each attribute shown, the user can individually select attribute values or use any combination of the min / max range selectors at the bottom of the attribute.
Additionally, some attributes allow for the conversion of their base type to different types. For example, the attribute group for minimum frequency is shown in MHz. The values can be converted to be shown in KHz or GHz by selecting the conversion type from the ‘Select Conversion’ drop down list.
Any Attribute that does not interest the user can be hidden by clicking on the ‘X” in the upper-right corner of the attribute. To show any hidden attributes, simply click the ‘Unhide Attributes’ button in the bottom of the parametric search filter.
If you are experiencing performance issues, please use a newer browser such as Chrome or Firefox, or disable the ability of the filter to perform dynamic updates by deselecting the checkbox titled ‘Allow Filters to Dynamically Update Parametric Search Attributes’.
