An In Series Adapter is a passive RF 2-port interconnect device, which provides a convenient gender conversion or extension withinthe same connector series at each end. Gender conversions (i.e., male-female) are also referred to as plug-jack adapters. Gender extensions (e.g., male-male, female-female) are also known as plug-plug or jack-jack adapters.
In Series Adapters are used primarily for RF Test & Measurement applications, either in the factory or in the laboratory. They can also be used in the field in a variety of communication systems applications (e.g., connecting two shorter cables together to make one longer cable).
Richardson RFPD carries a wide assortment of In Series Adapters. These products cover a complete frequency range from 0MHz (DC) to 40GHz. Performance grades range from low-cost commercial to rugged military. These adapters come in Straight, Right-Angle, and Bulkhead/Panel Mount form factors.
Specific attributes which are important in selecting the right In Series Adapter for your application include simply the Gender Combination (Male-Male, Female-Female, or Male-Female) and the Series (SMA, BNC, etc.) of the connector type at each end.
Richardson RFPD supplies In Series Adapters from industry-leading manufacturers Aeroflex/Inmet, Carlisle Interconnect Technologies, Emerson Network Power, HUBER+SUHNER, and Tyco Electronics. Additional suppliers include Amphenol RF, Bomar Interconnect, Radiall, Radiall-AEP, RF Industries, SDT Technology, and SV Microwave.
The parametric search filter allows the user to quickly find the parts they need by filtering the results in real-time.
Additionally, some attributes allow for the conversion of their base type to different types. For example, the attribute group for minimum frequency is shown in MHz. The values can be converted to be shown in KHz or GHz by selecting the conversion type from the ‘Select Conversion’ drop down list.
Any Attribute that does not interest the user can be hidden by clicking on the ‘X” in the upper-right corner of the attribute. To show any hidden attributes, simply click the ‘Unhide Attributes’ button in the bottom of the parametric search filter.
If you are experiencing performance issues, please use a newer browser such as Chrome or Firefox, or disable the ability of the filter to perform dynamic updates by deselecting the checkbox titled ‘Allow Filters to Dynamically Update Parametric Search Attributes’.
