RF and Microwave Gain Blocks are versatile small signal amplifier components, each of which is typically matched to 50Ω at the input and output of the device. They provide the designer with a wide selection of easy-to-use broadband and general purpose amplifiers suitable for a variety of IF, RF, and Microwave applications.Gain Blocks are easily cascadable for small signal multi-gain-stage applications, such as RF test equipment, wireless infrastructure receiver front-ends, satellite TV receivers, and radio IF circuits.
Richardson RFPD offers a vast assortment of RF & Microwave Gain Blocks, including some that can be employed in circuits with maximum RF frequencies over 22 GHz. The gain of each block is typically somewhere between 7 dB and 29 dB, specified at a particular frequency within the frequency range of the device. Some Gain Blocks have a narrow frequency range and others are very much broadband devices.
Specific attributes which are important in selecting the right Gain Block for your application include the Frequency Range (MHz) of operation, the nominal Gain (dB) of the device, the P1dB (dBm) point, its Output IP3 (dBm) specification, Noise Figure (dB), and the device Package Type.
Richardson RFPD supplies Gain Blocks covering the various applications from industry-leading manufacturers Anadigics, Freescale SemiconductorTM, M/A-COM Technology Solutions, (including their recently acquired Mimix Broadband line), Renesas, and TriQuint Semiconductor.
The parametric search filter allows the user to quickly find the parts they need by filtering the results in real-time.
Additionally, some attributes allow for the conversion of their base type to different types. For example, the attribute group for minimum frequency is shown in MHz. The values can be converted to be shown in KHz or GHz by selecting the conversion type from the ‘Select Conversion’ drop down list.
Any Attribute that does not interest the user can be hidden by clicking on the ‘X” in the upper-right corner of the attribute. To show any hidden attributes, simply click the ‘Unhide Attributes’ button in the bottom of the parametric search filter.
If you are experiencing performance issues, please use a newer browser such as Chrome or Firefox, or disable the ability of the filter to perform dynamic updates by deselecting the checkbox titled ‘Allow Filters to Dynamically Update Parametric Search Attributes’.
