The 60GHz band is allocated for unlicensed operation in most countries around the world enabling private and Wireless Internet Service Provider networks without purchasing spectrum. Point-to-point, Fixed Wireless, and Point-to-Multipoint, Fixed Wireless Access radio equipment can be rapidly developed using 60GHz modules which fully integrate the RFIC, baseband processor and beamforming antennas. Baseband operating conforms to the IEEE 802.11ad/ay protocols and utilizes channel bandwidths of 2GHz to provide multi-gigabit data throughput. High EIRP modules can power link range over 100’s of meters and operation in the upper 66-71 GHz region (where allowed) with the added gain of a dish reflector, can enable ranges over 15km.
