About DC-44 GHz Wireless Test System Design Accelerator Blocks

Analog Devices Instrumentation Group along with SignalCraft and Richardson RFPD are working on Modular DC-44 GHz signal generation blocks that can be used together or independently for wireless test systems and other high-performance applications, not only as part of a test system but also as a reference design to get a design to market quicker. The blocks can be used together or independently in the lab to test other parts of the system and/or design files can be licensed to be put in a customized design, reducing risk and bringing a product to market quicker. We can also provide a 3rd party to customize blocks for specific applications.

The blocks include all components necessary for signal generation including waveform generation, up/down conversion, amplification, switching, and filtering. They are separated into signal generation (implemented through FPGA and high speed converters), up/down converters (switchable between I/Q modulator/demodulator and mixer as well as TDD and FDD modes, including DC power, switches, amplification, tunable filtering, etc.), LO generation (both internal to the up/down converts and external modules), and tunable filter (both internal to the up/down converters and external modules).
