September 03, 2019 – Geneva, III.: Richardson RFPD, an expert in wireless connectivity components and IoT solutions, announced today that it has become a sponsoring member of the Chicago Connectory.
Founded in 2017, the Chicago Connectory is the first Midwest innovation space dedicated completely to IoT. It is a 20,000 square-foot co-creation space and IoT incubator developed by Bosch and 1871 that fosters collaboration, networking, problem solving, and cutting-edge technology.
As a sponsoring member, Richardson RFPD brings its strong level of IoT and wireless design expertise to the Chicago Connectory and its members. One of Richardson RFPD’s first contributions to the Chicago Connectory will be the development and installation of an interactive, multi-radio tracking demo with 24/7 cloud-based monitoring. In addition, Richardson RFPD will assist members with identifying the latest wireless and IoT technologies from the newest products offered by Richardson RFPD’s franchised suppliers.
Richardson RFPD’s extensive IoT offering includes modules, gateways and components for LPWA/cellular, 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GNSS applications. Richardson RFDP also has a growing ecosystem of software and design partners to deliver full IoT solutions.
“Richardson RFPD is excited about joining the Chicago Connectory and supporting the IoT community in Chicago and the greater Midwest,” said Rafael R. Salmi, Ph.D., Richardson RFPD’s president. “IoT has been a key technology for us for more than a decade, and we look forward to collaborating with other Chicago Connectory members and partners as we collectively drive the future of IoT.”
“The Chicago Connectory is excited to welcome Richardson RFPD as a member. The expertise and network that Richardson RFPD will add to the Connectory community is tremendous,” says Dennis Boecker, founder of the Chicago Connectory. “We are looking forward to developing the community further and enabling co-creation opportunities with Richardson RFPD.”
