RF Power Amplifier Design Tools

Richardson RFPD is pleased to present this library of design tools from Wolfspeed, the leader in RF GaN. Intended to help you achieve first-pass design success, these tools include software, simulations, and hardware-based tools in order to support multiple stages of development.

Nonlinear Models

Wolfspeed offers nonlinear, scalable GaN HEMT models for MMICs, full PDKs for Keysight Technologies’ Advanced Design System (ADS) and National Instruments’ Microwave Office (MWO). Access to the models is available at no charge, but registration is required.

Software Reference Designs

These are great “starter designs” to give RF PA designers a quick, accurate first look at a device’s potential for a given application. For details on how to obtain copies of these circuit simulations at no charge, please contact Richardson RFPD.

Single-stage Evaluation Boards for Discrete RF Transistors

Wolfspeed RF Transistor evaluation boards may or may not include the transistor. “-TF” suffix indicates transistors are excluded. “-AMP” suffix indicates transistors are included and clamped to the PCB. Documentation and support are included. Please contact Richardson RFPD for assistance.

Single-stage Evaluation Boards for MMIC Amplifier ICs

Each board includes the MMIC amplifier. Plastic packaged devices are soldered to the PCB. Ceramic packaged devices are clamped to the PCB. Documentation and support are included with purchase. Please contact Richardson RFPD for assistance.
