DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. (Oct 29, 2026) — Richardson RFPD, Inc., an Arrow Electronics company, announced a global franchise agreement with Flip Electronics Manufacturing Services (FMS), expanding its portfolio of RF and power solutions with authorized lifecycle manufacturing services for legacy semiconductor products.

 Through licensed semiconductor manufacturing partnerships, FMS helps OEMs and equipment manufacturers extend product lifecycles, maintain continuity of supply, and avoid costly redesigns for critical systems that continue to depend on established technologies. 

A key focus of the agreement is the availability of Ampleon 8th Generation LDMOS RF power transistors. 

“Many of our customers support platforms with service lives measured in decades, where maintaining continuity of supply is critical,” said Gavin Smith, Richardson RFPD RF Business Unit Director. 

Unlike traditional aftermarket sourcing approaches, the FMS model provides authorized manufacturing solutions developed in collaboration with original semiconductor manufacturers.  The agreement is particularly valuable for customers operating in long-lifecycle markets such as aerospace and defense, radar, wireless infrastructure, industrial, medical, and broadcast systems.
