Beamformers are multi-channel RFICs, with independent phase and amplitude control in the Tx/Rx paths. The system can then electronically steer antenna beams to achieve optimal signal strength.

We stock and support the following Beamformer ICs

The PE188200A-Z is an 8-channel beamforming front-end for 5G applications. It is organized as two independently controllable RF chains of four channels supporting four dual-polarity antennas or eight single-polarity antennas.

Mixcomm

This highly integrated beamforming front end for 5G phased array covers the FR2 band n257 from 26.5 to 29.5 GHz and offers high linear output power.

  • Four-element dual-polarization
  • Full TX/RX TDD RF chains
  • Ultra-low TX and RX power consumption
  • High-power stacked SOI CMOS PAs

This highly integrated, digitally controlled, 5G 4-channel bidirectional analog beamforming IC has a high bit phase and amplitude resolution.

  • Phase shifters in TX and RX chains
  • VGAs in TX and RX chains
  • On-chip power detectors
  • High-speed SPI bus interface

Analog Devices

This 24–29.5 GHz TX/RX dual polarization beamformer addresses the n257, n258 and n261 bands in one footprint, with 16 TX and 16 RX selectable channels.

  • Horizontal and vertical polarization
  • Matched 50 Ω RF inputs and outputs
  • Vector modulators for phase control
  • DGAs for amplitude control

Analog Devices

This 4-channel, X- and Ku-band (8 GHz to 16 GHz) beamforming core chip for phased arrays operates in half-duplex between receive and transmit modes.

  • ≥31 dB gain adjustment range
  • 360° phase adjustment range
  • 2.8° phase resolution
  • ≤0.5 dB gain resolution

Analog Devices

This 24–29.5 GHz TX/RX beamformer addresses the n257, n258 and n261 bands in one footprint, with 16 selectable TX channels and 16 selectable RX channels.
